Picture Books

Picture books are a child's introduction to the magic of stories and set the foundation for a love of reading. There are so many fantastic picture books to choose from and it can be hard to predict which will be the one your child will insist on, night after night. Here is a small selection of picture books that have stood the test of time in our household.

Magical illustrations which tell the story of a a talented pianist Bear, his rise to fame and the importance of home.
A story which always made me smile and I never tired of reading. I particularly loved the princess that doesn't want to be saved by the knight but wants a career as a doctor.
A beautifully illustrated book which tells the enchanting story of the shy and unforgettable character Halibut Jackson.
An entertaining tale of a captivating cat called Sid. Such an accurate portrayal of a cat, I believe there is a Sid the cat out there.
A story where a massive fart gets Dave the cat out of a tricky situation. My two boys never tired of this story which always made them giggle.
We are all fans of Elmer in our house and this is a particularly charming and gentle story.
